Tips for Thawing Frozen Meat Safely and Properly – Simple yet Important!

Refrigeration is one of the methods used to preserve food to make it last longer. You don’t need chemicals or additives to maintain the freshness and flavor of meat, just a low temperature and proper techniques to keep it frozen for a long enough period. But when it’s time to cook the meat, many people still struggle with the safe and quick thawing process. If you’re one of them, here are some tips to help you thaw your meat safely:

 

1. Overnight Refrigeration Method

 

Take the frozen meat out of the freezer and transfer it to the refrigerator and leave it overnight. So far, this is the safest method. By keeping the meat at a constant temperature of 4 degrees, the frozen meat will thaw slowly but still maintain its quality for at least 10 to 24 hours.

 

When thawing meat using this method, the mass of the meat will shrink slightly because the water molecules change from solid to liquid.
